Creepiest Kids in Movie History

Pierce Gagnon as Cid in 'Looper'

To 'One Tree Hill' fans Pierce Gagnon will always be cute little Logan. But after seeing him as the off-kilter Cid (pictured here in a scene with co-star Emily Blunt) in the sci-fi mind-bender 'Looper' everything they once thought about him will be, well, bent.

Linda Blair as Regan in 'The Exorcist'
Linda Blair as Regan in 'The Exorcist'
Warner Bros.
The gold standard for creepy movie kids, Linda Blair's Regan transformed from an innocent little girl to a host body for the Antichrist. Spewing the most vile words (and split pea soup!) you've ever heard from a 12-year-old, Regan is a murderous, head-spinning, spider-crawling, possessed devil child in every sense of the word.

Harvey Stephens as Damien in 'The Omen'

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment
Of course, if Linda Blair's Regan is the gold standard for creepy movie kids than Harvey Stephens' Damien is standing right there on the podium with her. (The Horror Olympics: everybody loses...sleep!) Like Regan, Damien is also the Antichrist — only his guest doesn't leave. In fact he horrifically offs his babysitter, his unborn sibling, and eventually his own parents. A terrifying reminder to always bring the right baby home from the hospital.

Daveigh Chase as Samara in 'The Ring'
Daveigh Chase as Samara in 'The Ring'
Dreamworks
There's no question that poor Samara had a crummy childhood, but the haunted little girl literally scared anyone who came in contact with her (or her dreaded videotape) to death. "Be kind, rewind" need not apply here.

Macaulay Culkin as Henry in 'The Good Son'
Macaulay Culkin as Henry in 'The Good Son'
20th Century Fox Home Entertainment
Sorry, but there's nothing even remotely good about this kid. Culkin's Henry is a death-obsessed sociopath who tries to kill his own sister and mother, and, worst of all, was mean to poor lil' Elijah Wood.

Patty McCormack as Rhoda in 'The Bad Seed'
Patty McCormack as Rhoda in 'The Bad Seed'
Warner Bros.
'Good Son' meet 'Bad Seed'. Better yet, don't. The combination of these two tween terrors could prove to be deadly. The pigtailed Rhoda not only murdered a neighbor and a classmate over a freakin' penmanship medal, but then — literally — incinerated  a witness. Still, creepy Rhoda couldn't take down one foe: lightning.

Ronnie Scribner as the Vampire Kid in 'Salem's Lot'
Ronnie Scribner as the Vampire Kid in 'Salem's Lot'
Warner Bros.
Remember how cute it was when Sam would come through the window to visit in 'Clarissa Explains It All'? Yeah, this was nothing like that. Instead, the poor kid in 'Salem's Lot' had the worst visitor possible at his bedroom: a terrifying, floating vampire scratching at his window. It's why blinds were invented.

Drew Barrymore as Charlie in 'Firestarter'
Drew Barrymore as Charlie in 'Firestarter'
Universal Studios
Kids should never play with matches, so what the heck do you do when a youngster can not only read minds, but set fires at will with her own? Don't ask the poor souls that dared to ask that question to the poster child for pyrokinesis, Charlie.

Sid in 'Toy Story'
Sid in 'Toy Story'
Walt Disney Video
Hey, animated children can be creepy, too. Case in point: the sociopathic, toy-torturing neighbor Sid (voiced by Erik von Detten) in 'Toy Story'. Sid's frightening collection of misfit toys wasn't just unsettling to witness, but the realization this is exactly the kind of kid that grows up to be a serial killer.

Mischa Barton as Kyra in 'The Sixth Sense'
Mischa Barton as Kyra in 'The Sixth Sense'
Buena Vista Pictures
Long before Marissa Cooper's death upset legions of 'The O.C.' fans, Mischa Barton upset tons of moviegoers as the ghostly girl hiding out with Haley Joel Osment equally creeped-out Cole in 'The Sixth Sense'. The tragically murdered Kyra isn't evil like the other kids on this list, but you probably still wouldn't want to babysit her anytime soon.

Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther in 'Orphan'
Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther in 'Orphan'
Warner Bros.
Doing even less favors for orphans than 'The Orphanage', Isabelle's Esther is a terrible child with a terrible secret. No, not that this is a terrible movie (though, it is) but that she's secretly a 33-year-old Estonian prostitute posing as a child with a penchant for scamming, creepy seduction, and murder.

Miko Hughes as Gage in 'Pet Sematary'
Miko Hughes as Gage in 'Pet Sematary'
Paramount Pictures
"Sometimes dead is better." Especially when the undead comes in the form of terrifying tot Gage. After coming back to life from an Indian burial ground, the zombie youngster is worse than your average elementary schooler as he will do things like stab you in the eye or slice your Achilles tendon. (Yeeeeeshhhhhhh!)

Lisa and Louise Burns as the Grady Girls in 'The Shining'
Lisa and Louise Burns as the Grady Girls in 'The Shining'
Warner Bros.
What's worse than one totally creepy movie kid? Two totally creepy movie kids! The ghost twins, standing hand in hand, wearing identical blue dresses (well, when their brutally murdered corpses aren't appearing) have a simple request: "Come play with us." Not a chance in hell, girls.

The Children of 'Village of the Damned'
The Children of 'Village of the Damned'
Universal Pictures
We don't know what's more unsettling, that these unholy offsprings can kill people with their minds or that the evil kids all share the same tragic haircut?
