Daft Punk still at one as Little Mix debut high on the U.S. album chart

Daft Punk have scored a second week at the top of the U.S. album chart, keeping rockers Alice In Chains from number one. The French electronic music duo’s Random Access Memories debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 last week (29May13) and despite a huge dip in sales, it holds off Alice in Chains’ The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, which enters the new countdown at two.
Veteran rocker John Fogerty lands his highest debut ever at three with duets album Wrote a Song for Everyone, and British pop stars Little Mix open up their U.S. album chart account with DNA at four, giving the U.K. X Factor sensations the highest debut ever for a British female group’s first album, surpassing the number six arrival of Spice Girls’ Spice in 1997.
Meanwhile, on America’s pop chart, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Can’t Hold Us has landed a fifth week at number one, keeping Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors off the top spot.
Timberlake’s hit moves up a place from three to two.
