Daisy Ridley Done with ‘Star Wars’ After Final Film

Daisy Ridley is walking away from the Star Wars franchise following the last film in the current trilogy.

The actress first appeared as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and she reprised the character for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which will hit U.S. theaters in December (17).

The Brit will also star in 2019’s Star Wars: Episode IX, which she insists will be her last trip to a galaxy far, far away.

“For me, I didn’t really know what I was signing on to,” she tells Rolling Stone magazine. “I hadn’t read the script, but from what I could tell, it was really nice people involved, so I was just like, ‘Awesome’. Now I think I am even luckier than I knew then.”

“I am really, really excited to do the third thing and round it out, because ultimately, what I was signing on to was three films,” she adds. “So in my head, it’s three films. I think it will feel like the right time to round it out.”

Daisy has previously spoken about the pressure she felt after gaining so much notoriety by starring in the first film and she reveals her nerves took over once again while she was filming the second film.

“It was all so insane, it felt like a dream,” she says. “I remember saying to (director) Rian (Johnson), ‘I am so f**king neurotic on this one’. I was like, ‘I am going to f**k this up…'”
