Daniel Craig poised for return to Bond 25 set after injury

Daniel Craig will be back in action on the set of the upcoming James Bond movie within days after undergoing ankle surgery for a minor injury last month (May19).
The British star reportedly fell awkwardly while sprinting for a scene filmed in Jamaica in May (19), forcing director Cary Fukunaga to scrap plans for a shoot at Pinewood Studios near London.
After a brief delay, production on Bond 25 resumed as it was revealed Craig had undergone a “minor” operation in the U.S., and would be spending the next two weeks rehabilitating post-surgery.
The 51 year old was subsequently spotted wearing a walking boot on his left foot and using two crutches to help him get around as he made his way through New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport earlier this month (Jun19), but it appears Craig’s recovery is going well as he was back in the gym on Saturday (15Jun19), when Bond producers shared a black-and-white shot of the Quantum of Solace star and teased his return to set.
“#007 Daniel Craig hitting the gym hard @pinewoodstudios, prepping for shooting next week! #Bond25,” read the caption for the photo, in which the actor still had an ankle brace on his left leg.
Bond 25, starring Rami Malek as the spy franchise’s new villain, is still expected to meet its release date of April, 2020.
