Daryl Hannah, of Splash, has nothing to be embarrassed about anymore. The actress won undisclosed libel damages Tuesday from The Daily Mirror after the British newspaper published a widely copied story claiming she had skipped her London play rehearsals to attend her dog’s birthday party in Los Angeles. Hannah says she was in last-minute rehearsals for a stage play, The Seven Year Itch when she flew to Toronto with the show’s producer to promote the film Dancing at the Blue Iguana, Reuters reports. The newspaper apologized to the London High Court for printing the inaccurate story in October.
