David Bowie exhibition heading to Berlin

David Bowie’s hugely successful retrospective exhibition is following in the legendary musician’s footsteps by moving to Berlin, Germany. The David Bowie Is show shattered box office records at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum last year (13) and was heralded as a spectacular success before it closed in August (13). It was even streamed into cinemas across the globe so fans could get a glimpse of the displays.
It has now emerged that the exhibition is to reopen in Berlin, the city where Bowie lived during the 1970s and wrote his ‘Berlin Trilogy’ of albums, which included his iconic hit Heroes.
The show will reportedly be changed to focus more closely on Bowie’s Berlin years. It opens on 20 May (14) at the city’s Martin-Gropius-Bau venue and runs until 10 August (14).
