David Lynch offers to read script to boost charity auction

The brains behind TV series Twin Peaks and the movies Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive has offered to read and review a script from the highest bidder – an auction item estimated at $10,000 (£6,250).

As WENN went to press, five bidders had pushed the running total to $1,350 (£844).

The auction runs until 12 July (12) and also includes a coffee date with horror director Eli Roth, guitar lessons from Steve Vai and Sir Paul McCartney’s son James, the chance to meet comedians Russell Brand and Jerry Seinfeld, and a walk-on role in hit TV drama Boardwalk Empire.

All proceeds will benefit the David Lynch Foundation, which funds the teaching of calming Transcendental Meditation in schools.
