Actress Debra Messing is set to make her Broadway debut in a new play written by the Oscar-winning scribe of Doubt. The former Will and Grace star will appear in John Patrick Shanley’s Outside Mullingar as an Irish woman who falls in love with her neighbour, a cattle ranch owner, played by Tony Award-winner Brian F. O’Byrne.
Doug Hughes will direct the production, which will take place at New York’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, beginning on 2 January (14).
