Desiigner sued for allegedly crashing rental car

Rapper Desiigner has been slapped with a lawsuit for reportedly crashing a rented Ferrari.
The Panda hitmaker was allegedly given permission by two of his friends to get behind the wheel of their rented 2014 Ferrari back in June (16), but he crashed the vehicle in New Jersey and wrecked it.
The bosses of the unnamed rental company are now suing the rapper, real name Sidney Royel Selby III, and his two pals. The car cost $220,000 (£172,000) but they are asking for more than $500,000 (£392,000) to cover lost future earnings, according to TMZ.com.
They also claimed in their legal documents he confessed to the incident by tweeting, “If you have a luxury car you better know how to drive.” However, according the website, the tweet didn’t come from Desiigner’s official account.
This isn’t the first time the hip-hop star, who is signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, has got into trouble thanks to his driving. He was allegedly involved in a road rage incident in September (16), when he allegedly pointed a gun at another driver during an argument.
Police found drugs during a search of the vehicle, and the rapper, along with four others, was arrested and slapped with felony charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell.
The 19-year-old was given an additional felony charge of criminal possession of a loaded weapon and menacing for allegedly brandishing a gun at the other driver.
