Rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is deadly serious about buying American football team the Carolina Panthers.
The entrepreneur has been linked to the sports business ever since news on a sale broke recently, and during an appearance on radio show The Breakfast Club, he insists he wants to become a baller boss – and inspire African-American sports fans.
“It was never about me buying the Panthers, it was always about we,” he explained. “It was always about, ‘We need a team! I jumped out there to make sure that they understood that they have to consider some black ownership right now with 80 per cent, 70 per cent of the league being African-American. It’s just time.”
