Diego Luna Joins Star-Studded Cast of ‘Berlin, I Love You’

Diego Luna has signed on to join the star-studded cast of Berlin, I Love You.

The romance anthology film is set to be the third installment in the Cities of Love franchise, following on from 2006’s Paris je t’aime (Paris, I Love You) and 2008’s New York, I Love You.

Set on the streets of the German capital, the upcoming movie will feature 10 different stories and explore themes of love and relationships, with several directors handling each story.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Luna, who was last seen in Star Wars spin-off Rogue One, and has also appeared in The Book of Life and Cesar Chavez, will star in a segment of the film to be helmed by Mexican director Fernando Eimbcke.

It was previously announced that Jack Huston and Sophie Turner will appear in a sequence by Tom Van Avermaet.

Other major names in talks to star in the movie include Orlando Bloom and Gemma Arterton, while actors Patrick Dempsey and Renee Zellweger will reportedly make their directorial debuts with segments of the film, as well as starring in the project.

Claus Clausen from Walk on Water Films will co-produce the anthology which will begin shooting in July (17).

“We will shoot almost everywhere,” he told the publication. “We will try to cover all the famous landmarks.”

Luna’s next film is Flatliners, which co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ellen Page, and is slated to hit theaters in September (17).

A release date for Berlin, I Love You has yet to be announced.
