Disclosure stunned by Mary J. Blige email

DJ duo Disclosure are still stunned they landed a collaboration with Mary J. Blige on their new album after the R&B icon reached out to them via email. The British brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence have teamed up with the No More Drama diva for a new take on their song F For You, which appears on their hugely successful 2013 debut Settle.
Despite being flooded with requests for collaborations from top names, they still can’t believe they have the likes of Blige want to work with them on their own music.
Howard tells Britain’s Daily Star, “We have been approached by so many names it would be stupid to turn them all down. Mary approached us which still amazes me. She emailed to say she loved F For You and wanted to cover it.
“So we were like: ‘OK fine, do your thing.’ But what she meant was she wanted to add parts to the original song and turn it into a duet between me and her.
“She sent back hundreds of vocal parts and then came on stage with us at a show in New York. I’ve never seen a crowd react like that – it was ridiculous.”
