Nanette Kinkade, who filed for divorce from her husband of 28 years in 2010, and his live-in partner, Amy Pinto, have been in a war of words over his will ever since the painter died from an accidental overdose on 6 April (12).
However, on Wednesday (20Dec12), the two women in his life came to an undisclosed agreement over the rights to his California mansion, warehouse of works, and the remainder of his funds.
A joint statement, released by their lawyers to local publication The San Jose Mercury News, reads: “Putting Mr. Kinkade’s message of love, spirituality, and optimism at the forefront, the parties are pleased that they have honoured Mr. Kinkade by resolving their differences amicably.”
