DJ Deadmau5 will make his film score debut on director Jonas Akerlund’s new project, Polar.
The electronic music superstar and producer has been announced as the music man for the 2019 film, which is based on the Dark Horse action noir graphic novel Polar: Came From the Cold by Victor Santos.
Mads Mikkelsen will star as Duncan ‘Black Kaiser’ Vizla, alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Matt Lucas, and Katheryn Winnick.
deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, took to Twitter on Tuesday (18Sep18) to confirm the news, writing: “Working on my first film score for @constantinfilm @Netflix’s #Polar. In honor of @theofficialmads character, I’ll be wearing an eyepatch the entire time #blackkaiser.”
Netflix will release the film globally in 2019.
