DJ Funkmaster Flex facing copyright infringement lawsuit

Dj Funkmaster Flex has been hit with a $1.65 million (£1.3 million) copyright infringement lawsuit from a photographer.
Christopher Sadowski is suing the DJ, real name Aston Taylor, Jr., and bosses at his company Flexco LLC for allegedly using his work without seeking permission or paying him.
The photographer claims Taylor used work he licensed to the New York Post on his website, InFlexWeTrust.com.
According to Bossip.com, the pictures he allegedly used without permission include snaps of late singer Whitney Houston’s gravesite, a coyote in New York City and the Freedom Tower in Manhattan.
In 2014, Sadowski reportedly sent a cease and desist letter to Taylor and the hitmaker removed some of the photos, but he began to use the snapper’s work again.
Sadowski is reportedly seeking an injunction barring Taylor from using his copyrighted work and the removal of existing pictures on the website. He is also suing for $1.65 million in statutory damages and $275,000 (£220,00) for copyright violations.
