DJ Khaled’s boating violation upgraded after missed court date

DJ Khaled is facing a misdemeanour after failing to appear in court earlier this week (ends29Apr16) for a boating violation.
The All I Do Is Win star was scheduled to appear at a Miami-Dade County court on Tuesday (26Apr16) to face a minor boating charge, but he missed the date and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
The warrant was subsequently vacated because it was later discovered Khaled was not served the legal papers.
However, his charge has since been upgraded to a misdemeanour “failure to appear on a non-criminal boating violation”.
The 40-year-old is now scheduled to appear before a judge on 17 May (16). It is unclear why Khaled is facing the violation, but in December (15), he got lost at sea following a visit to rapper Rick Ross’ Miami, Florida mansion.
Despite missing his court appearance, Khaled performed an opening set for Beyonce’s Formation World Tour on Wednesday (27Apr16) and was joined on stage by hip-hop stars Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Future, and Trick Daddy.
