DMX given permission to travel to Atlanta for TV movie

Rapper Dmx has won permission to shoot a movie in Atlanta, Georgia amid his tax troubles.
The star is forbidden from travelling outside New York under the terms of his bail, but a judge in Manhattan has ruled he can shoot a TV project it Atlanta next week (beg21Aug17) as long as he is accompanied by a substance-abuse monitor.
Judge Jed Rakoff previously ruled the rapper, real name Earl Simmons, could not travel for five upcoming appearances.
The 46-year-old X Gon’ Give It to Ya star was placed on home confinement and forced to wear an ankle bracelet after violating his bail conditions and reportedly failing drug tests.
One of the commitments DMX has been forced to scrap is an appearance on TV game show Hip-Hop Squares.
The judge also turned down request from the rapper’s lawyer to allow his client to travel to Atlanta, Georgia last week (17Aug17), stating he had not given enough notice.
DMX is currently on bail after pleading not guilty to 14 federal counts of tax evasion.
