Dolly Parton earns first number one album on U.S. country charts in 25 years

Dolly Parton has returned to the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart in the U.S. for the first time in more than 25 years.
Pure & Simple is Parton’s seventh record to hit number one on the chart and her first since 1991’s Eagle When She Flies.
“Boy, it’s a good day for me. I am a happy girl!,” a statement from Parton reads. “It feels great to be No. 1, as it’s been a long time, and it feels so good to still be in the game after all this time.”
