The former Baywatch star suffered serious cuts and bruises to her face and body in a hiking fall near Mount Ararat at the weekend (11-12Aug12) during an expedition to find the biblical treasure.
The terrifying accident forced her to return to her U.S. home on Tuesday night (14Aug12), but D’Errico insists the trip was eye-opening and she will be heading back to Turkey in the near future to continue her epic quest.
She tells TMZ.com, “I’m just glad to be home. I found a lot of information… I’ve just always wanted to climb Mount Ararat and search for Noah’s Ark… and I know everybody thinks it’s funny and it’s a big joke and people don’t believe in it… but I do… and I’ve wanted to do it ever since I was a kid.”
