Dorothy Squires honoured with blue plaque

Late singer Dorothy Squires has been commemorated with a blue plaque in her native Wales. The tribute, which is traditionally placed at significant historical sites across Britain, was unveiled at Squire’s childhood home in Dafen by officials at The Heritage Foundation.
British actress Ruth Madoc, who is playing Squires in new Welsh stage show Say It With Flowers, revealed the dedication at a special ceremony on Monday (20May13), where she gave a speech remembering the star and posed for photos with fans.
Squires, who was once married to Bond actor Sir Roger Moore, died in 1998 of lung cancer.
