Downey spared drug charges

Dodging yet another legal bullet, actor Robert Downey Jr. will not face criminal charges following last month’s drug arrest–in which police said he was found to have cocaine in his system–according to Reuters. Prosecutors in the case decided to place Downey in the care of California state corrections officials, who will likely send the Golden Globe-winning actor to a drug rehabilitation facility. Said Downey attorney Robert Walters: “We are grateful that the district attorney’s office has declined to prosecute Mr. Downey.”
