Drew Barrymore doesn’t regret flashing David Letterman

Drew Barrymore has no regrets over the time that she flashed David Letterman on live TV.

The actress stunned the audience during an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman in 1995 when she spontaneously jumped onto the host’s desk and proceeded to perform a sexy dance before flashing her breasts at him and planting a kiss on his cheek.

While Drew is now a mature mother of two daughters, she shared during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night (19Mar18) that she still gets a kick out of watching her old antics.

“I sometimes think, ‘That doesn’t feel like me.’ It’s like a distant memory that doesn’t seem like me – but it is me,” she said. “And that’s kind of cool. I’m still down with that. I’m a mother of two. I don’t know. I’m such a different person now that it doesn’t feel like me, but I’m still into it.”

Drew was on the late-night talk show to discuss the upcoming second season of her Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet, which is due to premiere on Friday.

However, during her chat she decided to reflect on some of her other talk show memories, including her first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1982, when she was a child star promoting her movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

“I did Johnny Carson in 1982, and I tripped on the step and really, really ate it. I think they cut to a different angle on the camera, because I was, like, splayed,” the 43-year-old recalled. “I was like, ‘This is a lesson in humiliation. It’s The Tonight Show and you’re seven and you’ve completely eaten it.’ But, you know, it’s cool. I worked with him all the time. I would go on the show when Jay Leno and Joan Rivers were on. I was on his show, like, eight times.”
