Drew Barrymore shows off talent for picking up objects with her feet

Drew Barrymore has showed off her talent for picking up objects with her feet.

The Santa Clarita Diet actress made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (22Jan19) where she promoted her upcoming talent competition show The World’s Best, in which she acts as a judge alongside RuPaul and Faith Hill.

During the chat, host Stephen asked Drew if she has any secret abilities and she quickly jumped into action, going on to demonstrate how she can easily pick up cough drops with her toes.

“I like picking stuff up with my feet a lot. When you gotta get it done, the foot is an extra hand,” she smiled. “Especially when you’ve got kids. You know, you got a kid in one hand and a phone in the other – there’s no way you’re not going to go and grab that (object with your foot).”

After receiving a round of applause from the audience, mother-of-two Drew proceeded to put her shoe back on and continued with the interview, in which she discussed her role in Jamie Babbit’s forthcoming comedy feature The Stand-In, where she plays a disaffected comedy actress as well as her ambitious stand-in.

While the star confessed that playing both roles was going to be the “acting challenge” of a lifetime, she emphasised that she was up for the task, especially as she often ponders what it would be like to swap identities with other people.

“Well, you can’t be anyone than who you are,” the 43-year-old sighed. “What I’m saying is, I’m stuck here unless I want to move into a bomb shelter. So, I’ve made peace with this. However, there is a secret side of me that would totally love to (shoot off) and go through life not knowing what any of this is like. So, maybe this is my chance.”
