Duck Dynasty star on indefinite hiatus after GQ remarks

One of the reality TV stars of Duck Dynasty has been placed on indefinite hiatus from the show following remarks he made about homosexuality in a GQ magazine article. Phil Robertson condemned bestiality and adultery in the interview, and also suggested homosexuality is a sin.
Asked to describe sin, Robertson stated, “Start with homosexual behaviour and just morph out from there.”
A spokesman for A&E, the TV network behind his hit reality show, says executives are “extremely disappointed” by Robertson’s remarks, adding they “in no way reflect those of A&E”.
The TV star, who also helps to run a multi-million dollar family duck hunting business, also told GQ he could not understand why a man would sleep with another man, instead of a woman.
He added, “There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying?”
A spokesman for the Gay And Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) has condemned his remarks, insisting they are “some of the vilest and most extreme statements uttered against LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual amd transgender) people in a mainstream publication.”
