Duff McKagan’s wife wins restraining order against overzealous fan

Guns N’ Roses star Duff Mckagan’s wife has won a restraining order against a man who travelled from Arizona to their Los Angeles home last week (ends23Jun13). Susan Holmes-McKagan applied for the temporary ban against Story Walker Bannister after the 21 year old allegedly turned up at her house in California while she was away with the bassist.
Holmes-McKagan’s mother was babysitting the couple’s two teenage daughters at the time, and Bannister is said to have demanded to see her “daughter”, although it is unclear who he was referring to.
According to TMZ.com, Bannister travelled from Phoenix to the McKagans’ California home and refused to leave, insisting it was “destiny” that brought him to the property. Holmes-McKagan’s mother then phoned police, who took Bannister away for a psychological evaluation.
He has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards (91.4 metres) away from the McKagan family, while a hearing is scheduled for July (13) to determine whether the restraining order should be made permanent.
