Ed Sheeran & Beyonce duet tops U.S. charts

Ed Sheeran and Beyonce’s hit duet has scored the Perfect double on the U.S. and U.K. charts.
Perfect debuted at number one in the U.K. on Friday (11Dec17) and completed the trans-Atlantic double on Monday (11Dec17).
The track was first released as a solo song by Sheeran on his album ÷ (Divide), but he recently re-recorded the track with Beyonce, and he has also reworked the tune with Italian opera star Andrea Bocelli.
Perfect is Sheeran’s second Billboard Hot 100 number one – he spent 12 weeks on top with Shape of You at the beginning of the year (17). This is Beyonce’s sixth U.S. number one as a soloist – she also enjoyed four number ones as a member of Destiny’s Child.
Post Malone’s Rockstar drops to two on the new countdown after spending eight weeks on top, and Camila Cabello’s Havana also falls a spot to three.
