Elfman wants ABC to boost promos for “Dharma & Greg”

Jenna Elfman is blaming the 30-percent plunge in ratings for Dharma
and Greg
on ABC’s lackluster support of the program.

In an interview
appearing in today’s New York Daily News, Elfman said,
“The studio has to support us in helping us make the show, and it’s the
network’s responsibility to promote us. If everybody does their job, you
have success.”

ABC moved the show from Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. to Tuesdays
at 8:00 p.m. “What ‘Dharma’ needs is for viewers to rediscover it and
reconnect with what that show is all about,” Stacey Lynn Koerner of
media buyers Initiative Media told the newspaper. “It wouldn’t hurt for
the network to put more promotional push behind it. Sometimes, it’s all
about the packaging.”
