Actress Elizabeth Banks convinced producers she was cheeky enough for a part in Zack And Miri Make A Porno after she gave Steve Carrell an impromptu lap dance during an audition.
The blonde beauty was trying out for a role in Carell’s saucy comedy The 40-Year-Old Virgin when she went off script and decided to show off her sexy side with a seductive dance.
And funnyman Seth Rogen, who was standing nearby, was so impressed with her ability to let loose he recruited the 38 year old to serve as his co-star in his next movie, 2008’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
She tells Allure magazine, “Seth and I made The 40-Year-Old Virgin together, and he saw the audition when I got that role in which I did give Steve a lap dance. It just came out of an improv.”
And Banks admits she relished the chance to show off her bad girl side for a second time, even though the movie wasn’t as well-received as they had expected.
She adds, “It was a great love story… It got such a bad rep. Because of the title. Well, and also – all the f**king.”
