Elizabeth Taylor’s Oscars dress set for auction

The dress Elizabeth Taylor wore to the 1974 Oscars is among a treasure trove of keepsakes from her estate heading to auction.
The Edith Head-designed chiffon gown is one of over 1,200 items set to go under the hammer at a Julien’s Auctions sale in December (19).
The dress is expected to fetch up to $6,000 (£4,800).
Other highlights include a Cartier belt Taylor had inscribed to her mother, a New York Yankees jacket the late actress wore for a Vogue Paris photo shoot, and various jewellery items, wigs and fine art.
