Comedien and talk show host Ellen Degeneres is mourning the death of her father.
Elliott DeGeneres passed away earlier this week (beg08Jan18), and his daughter revealed the news of his passing during her show on Thursday (11Jan18).
“He was 92 years old,” she said. “He had a good, long life.”
Ellen also revealed her dad sent her a colorful message upon his passing – a rainbow over the studio where she films her daily show.
“I got a rainbow before he died,” she added.
The Finding Nemo star and her wife Portia de Rossi are also battling deadly mudslides in their adopted home area, Santa Barbara County, California, following heavy rains this week.
She recently revealed the couple had been evacuated, adding, “You hear the word mudslide and you have no idea the impact that it has… It’s catastrophic.”
