Sir Elton John has been spotted toting a Dolce and Gabbana carrier bag just a day after vowing to boycott the luxury fashion house.
The “Rocket Man” hitmaker slammed Stefano Gabbana and his designing partner Domenico Dolce over an interview in which they stated that children born using in vitro fertilisation (IVF) are “chemical offsprings”. Sir Elton, who has two sons with husband David Furnish, called for a boycott of the Dolce & Gabbana brand on Sunday (15Mar15), but just a day later, he was photographed carrying a D&G bag into a recording studio in Los Angeles on Monday (16Mar15).
A representative for the star at first claimed the image had been digitally altered, but Sir Elton’s camp has since conceded it is genuine. A spokesman for the singer says, “Elton was carrying a white Dolce & Gabbana bag and it had his lunch in. We thought (the images) had been Photoshopped and that’s not correct.”
