Emilia Clarke getting Game of Thrones-inspired dragon tattoo

Emilia Clarke is getting a “cool” dragon tattoo as a permanent reminder of her role in Game Of Thrones.

The British actress has played fan-favorite Daenerys Targaryen since the fantasy series began in 2011, going on to receive three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her portrayal of the ruthless queen.

And as her character is also known as Mother of Dragons, Emilia has now shared that she has already booked in for an inking of the mythical creature once Game of Thrones airs its final season in 2019.

“I’m going to get a dragon right here, kind of flying away,” she said when she appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday (23May18), gesturing to her left wrist. “So, I think that’s cool. A little kind of peace out.”

Emilia already has a tattoo of a bumblebee on her left pinkie finger courtesy of famed Los Angeles tattoo artist Dr. Woo.

But she quickly shut down co-host Kelly Ripa’s suggestion that she should get a dragon tattoo spread across her whole back.

“Yeah exactly! They’ve cleared the schedule, I’m getting the full (back tattoo),” the 31-year-old joked.
The television star has also made a name for herself in the movie industry having starred in Terminator Genisys alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger as well as romantic drama Me Before You.

At present, Emilia is promoting Solo: A Star Wars Story, in which she plays Han Solo’s childhood love interest Qi’ra, and she went for a stunning ensemble when she attended the movie’s L.A. premiere earlier this month.

Wearing a dark red ballgown with a white floral print from Valentino, she accessorized with Christian Louboutin high heels and topped off the glamorous ensemble with glittering earrings from Neil Lane.

Though her Game of Thrones character is famed for her long flowing locks, in reality, Emilia rocks a sleek chin-length bob, which she swept back into an elegant ponytail for the night.
