Emma Roberts’ scenes in TV series American Horror Story: Cult had to be delayed after she broke her nose.

The actress is starring as Serina Belinda in the seventh season of the FX horror show, and is joined by returning cast members from previous seasons, including her fiance Evan Peters, as well as Sarah Paulson, Cheyenne Jackson and Frances Conroy.

Emma was confirmed for a role in Cult in April (17), but she shared during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (12Sep17) that her scenes had to be pushed back due to an injury she sustained.

“I was injured, not on the set, but outside set. I had a run-in with a sliding glass door. So, we had to move shooting,” the star explained.

When Emma’s nose had pretty much healed, she returned to set – though she wasn’t expecting the incident to impact other castmembers’ performances.

“When I came back to set, you know there’s a lot of clowns this season, and there was like a safety meeting with the clowns. It was a very amazing visual of all the clowns holding knives getting a safety instruction about being careful of my nose,” the 26-year-old added.

Meanwhile, Emma also chatted about her love of reading and the Belletrist book club she recently started. The blonde star divulged that she is so devoted to her books that she has come up with an inventive solution for reading at night.

“I have to say, I haven’t found a book light that I love – I wish someone would invent one by the way – so I’ve gone into the hardware store and just gotten a headlamp. And worn it on my head, because then you can read with both hands, it’s so much easier!” she laughed.
