Eric Church stumbles through Waylon Jennings cover

Country star Eric Church flubbed his way through a Waylon Jennings cover during a weekend concert after accepting a random song request from the crowd.
The singer decided to give Jennings’ 1979 track I Ain’t Living Long Like This a go while onstage in Omaha, Nebraska on Friday (18Jan19), despite admitting he hadn’t performed the tune in a long time.
Encouraged by the audience, Eric tried his best at the song, but stumbled through the lyrics as he forgot a number of words, reports Rolling Stone.
“We’re gonna do one more verse, and then I’m gonna drink a lot of what’s in the cup,” he told fans, laughing off his rusty rendition as he referenced his need for a boozy drink. “This has been some s**t, baby!”
Eric isn’t the first star to cover the country classic live – Chris Stapleton, Brooks & Dunn, and Justin Moore have also added the tune to their past set lists.
