Former TV doctor Eriq La Salle turned real-life hero last weekend (26-27Jul14) when he rushed to the aid of a car crash victim in California. The ER star, 52, was at a book signing event in Marina Del Rey on Saturday (26Jul14) when a young woman was struck by an elderly driver directly outside the venue.
An eyewitness tells America’s Star magazine, “He was there signing his new book, Laws of Wrath, but when the car smashed into the building, he ran outside. When he saw the victim pinned against the wall, he held her hand and comforted her and kept telling her she was going to be all right and stayed until the fire department arrived. He was so sweet!”
La Salle portrayed Dr. Peter Benton on the hit medical drama for the show’s entire run from 1994 to 2009.
