Ethan Hawke and Joaquin Phoenix have visited Philip Seymour Hoffman’s longtime partner and his kids following the actor’s death on Sunday (02Feb14). The two actors were spotted arriving at and leaving the family’s home in Manhattan, New York on Tuesday (04Feb14), a day after Hoffman’s friends Cate Blanchett and Justin Theroux made a house call.
Phoenix, who starred opposite the late actor in The Master, attempted to dodge reporters and photographers as he left the home of Hoffman’s estranged girlfriend Mimi O’Donnell on Tuesday afternoon, while Hawke was spotted hours later.
Hoffman died of a suspected heroin overdose.
