Eva Longoria is looking forward to slipping into jeans after her son is born.
The former Desperate Housewives star is due to give birth to her first child with husband Jose Antonio Baston this May (18). And while she “can’t wait” for her baby boy to arrive, she’s also looking forward to wearing her pre-pregnancy pants once again.
“I think everybody looks forward to the jean moment when you go, ‘It fits!’” Eva said in an interview with People. “I’m resistant to buying maternity wear just because I’ve been wearing my stuff and now I’ve gotten to a point where I’m like, ‘I’m so uncomfortable!’”
The Over Her Dead Body actress admitted that she’ll “live in leggings” for the last few months while she is expecting, after caving and purchasing maternity clothing once her old clothes became “impossible” to wear. She was also grateful that the majority of her pregnancy occurred over the winter months as she was able to hide her growing bump under coats and oversized sweaters.
“Now that we’re getting into spring and I’m going to be getting bigger, I’ll have to have a new approach,” she laughed.
Eva also ventured into the fashion industry when she launched an online clothing range last year, and is bringing a 19-piece sportswear line to the Home Shopping Network (HSN) which will appear on the network on 22 March.
“I love the medium of HSN. I love to talk about the fabric and the line and the color story, and you don’t get to see that on the rack; they just put the clothes out and hope people understand the vision,” the 42-year-old told WWD. “I have the resources of all these stylists who tell me why and what to wear so in my own line, I let people know all the Hollywood secrets and all the details of why we make it that way.”
