Eva Longoria to direct new TV series with Brooke Shields

Eva Longoria is amping up her directing duties by signing on for a new pilot starring Brooke Shields.
The former Desperate Housewives star will take charge of Glamorous, her first pilot project, which focuses on a gender-nonconforming high school graduate who scores an internship at a top cosmetics firm, despite criticising their products on YouTube, reports Deadline.
Shields will return to her roots as a model by portraying Madolyn, a former runway star-turned-founder of the make-up firm at the centre of the plot, which was conceived by Damon Wayans, Jr. and writer Jordon Nardino.
In addition to directing, Longoria will also executive produce the first episode for U.S. network The CW, alongside Wayans, Jr. and Nardino.
Longoria has been building up her resume behind the camera in recent years, shooting episodes of shows like Jane the Virgin and Black-ish, while she will also make her feature film directorial debut with 24/7, in which she will also co-star with Kerry Washington.
