Fan bids $100,000 for Drake’s sneakers

A rare pair of running shoes given away to a fan by rapper Drake has received a massive bid of almost $100,000 (£62,500) in an online auction. The Started From The Bottom hitmaker handed out several pairs of Nike Air Jordan promo sample sneakers during a Toronto Raptors basketball match in Toronto, Canada over the weekend (11-12Jan13).
One of the pairs was put up for sale on eBay.com shortly after, and it had attracted a staggering top bid of $99,900 (£62,437) by Tuesday (14Jan14).
The U.S. size-11 black shoes are pictured along with a message from the seller, which reads, “I received them from Drake himself at Drake night at the Raptors. Drake was seen wearing the same ones at the game that night.”
The auction ends this weekend (18-19Jan14).
