Great necklace, great dress, but put together? Carey, it's just gotta be one or the other! Like oil and water, unfortunately this combo does not mix well together. The sheer size of the necklace overpowers the neckline of the dress, and the wide straps of the dress don't frame the necklace quite right.

Love this Grecian-inspired dress on her! The darkened hue, coupled with the draping is glamorously flattering, and the oversize brooch adds a nice, sophisticated touch.

One size up and she would have ruled that red carpet! Dear Carey, there's nothing that a set of Spanx can't fix. Other than that, the dress is very lovely from the waist up!

Another totally charming look on Carey! This floral print is loud, but it's just the right amount of loud, like a good concert you want to listen to. Like a harmonious and symphonic blending of colors and patterns in the shape of a cute dress!

How very "Little Carey on the Prairie." What in the Laura Ashley hell is this look?

Uh, Carey...this is awkward. For the both of us. I don't feel that your overall look is worth a red cent. However, I'm filing your shoes under "Shoe Porn."

As much as I adore him from my childhood, wearing a dress inspired by Gonzo the Great from the Muppets would not have been my first choice. The textures juxtaposed together are atrocious, and I feel like the bodice is going to come down any second!

This dress is all so silly, but I actually kind of dig it! Even with a "mullet" hem (to showcase the hot shoes, I get it), it's almost so whimsical that I think it works! Whistling to your invisible dog, I see...well, hey at least you look good doing it!

Looking at this photo, I don't really get Carey in this one...lavender lace with black tights...and she looks like she's got her hands in giant lavender mitts! The oversize pockets give this dress an overall "apron" effect

Oops, I guess Carey forgot to put her arms through the sleeves! I feel like a gaping maw is coming at me!

Not Even A Bronze Medal
Not Even A Bronze Medal

Something about this look hints at a bit of "St. John during the height of high 80's glamour" to me. It's a little overly mature for Carey, I'd say.

True Blue

I find this look compelling in an odd way! The color is striking against her fair skin, and the texture of the dress looks expensive and intriguing. The fit is perfect, and she looks feminine and ladylike.

Retire This Look

Oh, now this is just sad. I get that young women want to look polished and mature, but this look takes her from zero to Granny in 0.5 seconds! Not a good look when an entire color washes you out!

Teenage Waist-land

At first glance, my thought was, "Wait, how does this dress work? If Rube Goldberg were to design a dress..." I don't mind pops of bare skin every now and then, but not "there!" I can't imagine it would be flattering to look at while she's sitting down. I like the color combinations, but the overall effect is a little lackluster.

Uh...so this is print that's loud too, but instead it's like listening to loud screeching noises, or an annoying car alarm! I wouldn't be able to hear Carey over the sound of her dress!! My eyes hurt just by looking at this tacky (and mind you, NOT hilariously tacky) outfit.

It's impossible not to say how adorable Carey looks in this outfit! It's sunny, bright, and youthful!
