Fashion & Style: SAG Awards 2012 Red Carpet Fashion

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie
We were slightly bummed to see Brad Pitt left his walking cane at home for the SAG Awards. He'd really started to make the red carpet look more dapper, hadn't he? Luckily he didn't leave his best accessory at home--Angelina. His simple black suit suits him well, but we are so over the long hair already.

Sofia Vegara
Sofia Vegara
Modern Family star Sofia Vergara's hot pink Marchesa dress looked Jessica Rabbit, cartoon-glamorous, especially from the side where the bust...busted out. Looking good, lady!

Emily Blunt
Emily Blunt
To put it bluntly, Emily Blunt was the greenest star on the red carpet tonight. We like the color, and the girl, but we're not absolutely sold on the dress. The cut with that particular shade of green reminds us of a bridesmaids dress. In fact, didn't they wear something like that in the movie Bridesmaids? No? They could have.

Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco went cuckoo in a mint green feather fountain of a dress. We love that shade of mint and we admire her bird-of-a-different-feather spirit, but she doesn't fly high enough in the Romona Keveza dress. If you're going for a wild feathered concoction, you'd better have the big hair to match.

Amber Heard
Amber Heard
Amber Heard look 90's-style smokin' hot in a skin-tight black cut-out Zac Posen dress, with smoky eyeliner and a sleek pompadour. Maybe it's not too early to make a remake of Basic Instinct?

Gretchen Mol
Gretchen Mol
Boardwalk Empire star Gretchen Mol's dress would be a disaster if it were made out of a different, more traditional gown-type material such as satin or silk. As it is, her gold and cream L'Wren Scott gown is flattering, contemporary, and just plain cool.

Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie's drapey black satin Jenny Packham gown is the least interesting thing she's worn on the red carpet in awhile, but of course she still looks like a goddess. Remember the days when Angie only wore black on the red carpet, and accessorized with vials of Billy Bob Thornton's blood? Yeah, we'd rather not remember that either.

Ariel Winter
Ariel Winter
Modern Family star Ariel Winter looked cute and fun in her standard red carpet wear: an embellished corsette with a lace ballerina skirt by Collette Dinnigan. We're digging all the silver and sparkle we're seeing on the red carpet this year. Do you think all the stars are saving the gold for Oscar night?

Ashlee Simpson
Ashlee Simpson
We haven't Ashlee Simpson in awhile, so it was nice to witness the singer and mama looking gorgeous on the red carpet once again in a black beaded Jenny Packham gown with a sheer tulle neckline. We wonder if she's excited to be an aunt soon to sister Jessica's new baby.

Emilia Clarke
Emilia Clarke
Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke looked worthy of having a battle fought over her in her black and white feather-skirted gown. The shirred white structured sleeves look positively mythical.

Emma Stone
Emma Stone
We predicted Emma Stone would be a fashion it girl in 2012, and she's already living up to her title. We adore the exploding lace bustier on her Alexander McQueen ballerina-style dress...especially because it matches her peep toe pumps. Darling!

Kelly Osbourne
Kelly Osbourne
Kelly Osbourne looked like a 70's bombshell in a white Badgley Mischka matte crepe gown with embroidered shoulder detail and a tassel belt. We love her sassy hairdo, too. She's really been turning out some fun looks on the red carpet lately. Maybe her role as fashion correspondent has helped her up her own ante.

Kristen Wiig
Kristen Wiig
Kristin Wiig was one of several stars to go white hot on the red carpet at the SAG awards. We like but don't love her Balenciaga halter gown--we feel like we've seen that gown a million times before. The choker necklace is a good idea to add some pizazz, but we think some chunky diamonds or a splash of bright color around her neck would've livened the dress up more.

Lea Michele
Lea Michele
How much do you wanna bet that SAG-winner Lea Michele just picked a dress that would showcase her sexy leg? Either way, we can't deny that she looks smoldering in her skin-tight, silver Versace gown. And who knows--maybe her look will inspired a new line of leg lamps with silver tassels.

Maria Menounos
Maria Menounos
Maria Menounos looked super sexy in a skin-tight black Dolce and Gabbana dress with silver straps. Do you think she had a hard time peeling that thing off a the end of the night?

Michelle Williams
Michelle Williams
Michelle Williams' star turn in My Week With Marilyn seems to have influenced her red carpet style. She looks every bit the classic movie star in this red Valentino dress with sweet, red lace sleeves. Her red Roger Vivier platform sandals are also very Marilyn-esque. And how cute is her Mia Farrow golden blond pixie cut?

Rose Byrne
Rose Byrne
Rose Byrne's brown bob and bangs are absolutely charming and suit her sweetly beautiful face. We also adore white jumpsuits (they remind us of Michelle Pfieffer in Scarface) but we aren't totally sold on the bedazzlement on this Elie Saab number. It's a little too "Golden Girls" for the still-young star.

Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana's dress was the dreamiest of the night. Her sparkling and sheer white Givenchy Haute Couture gown was whimsical and beautiful, yet punctuated with an edgy spiked collar. She looks like an angel you don't want to mess with, which is the kind of angel you have to be to survive Hollywood.

Tina Fey
Tina Fey
There were a number of less-than-fabulous fashions on the SAG red carpet tonight, and Tina Fey unfortunately wins our award for the least fabulous of them all. That strapless, black and gray number is a vintage Versace, but it might as well be a vintage couch throw--that's about how exciting it looks. Rock it better next time, Tina!
