The singer famously abandoned Fisher’s mother Debbie Reynolds to marry Elizabeth Taylor when the Star Wars actress was just a baby.
The father-and-daughter relationship was fraught until Fisher accepted she couldn’t expect him to be a traditional dad, and they became close again before his death last year (10).
And Fisher insists their bond was anything but ordinary.
She tells Britain’s The Times Magazine, “(Eddie was a) good person. Terrible father. I knew he was insane and to a certain extent I catered to it. I made him laugh. He was hilarious and a darling; a child, a boy. He wasn’t a man at all, but unlike Michael (Jackson), he was sexual. Sex for him was an appetite. He was a darling man and I miss him.
“I feel cheated that he died. We were having such a good time. Then I got him only to lose him again. But at least I got him. He would have flirted with you. He was also really losing it. He thought this guy I was seeing who was white and 39 was Barack Obama. He smoked a lot of drugs and he liked to smoke a lot. I used to get him strippers – although he hated the last set of strippers I got him. They put chocolate on their t**s and had him touch it. He didn’t like that.”
