Flavor Flav receives police citations over fireworks display

Rapper Flavor Flav has been cited by police in Las Vegas over a fireworks display held outside his home for America’s Independence Day holiday on Friday (04Jul14). The former Public Enemy member, who has reportedly clashed with neighbours in the past over his annual Fourth of July celebrations, is accused of setting off thousands of dollars worth of fireworks outside his home in Sin City.
Law enforcement officials visited the reality TV star’s home shortly before 8pm following complaints from neighbours about the noisy celebration, and they confiscated more than 100 pounds of explosives and issuing two fireworks-related citations, Metropolitan Police Department Lieutenant Ken Romaine tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Last year (13), the performer’s plans for a display were scuppered when police threatened him with jail time after editors at TMZ.com reported the rapper was planning to set off $8,000 (£4,706) worth of fireworks.
