Folk rockers perform for SXSW crash victim

Members of a folk rock group performed a set at a hospital in Texas on Saturday (15Mar14) for one of their biggest fans who was injured in a horrific car accident at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin. Two revellers were killed and 23 more were injured when a car ploughed into a crowd outside The Mohawk Club music venue in the early hours of Thursday morning (13Mar14).
Mason Endres, 18, sustained a broken leg and nose and a fractured neck in the crash, and she missed a set by her favourite band, Jared & The Mill, so the rockers brought the show to her hospital room on Saturday.
She tells, “I think the pure excitement of everything (the hospital gig) has gotten me through… I felt better than I ever imagined I thought I would feel in a hospital.”
