Former Mr. Olympia Larry Scott dead at 75

Former Mr. Olympia Larry Scott has died at the age of 75. The bodybuilder passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s disease on 8 March (14) in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Scott was crowned Mr. America in 1962 and Mr. Universe in 1964 and he was featured in the Muscle Beach Party film later that year.
In 1965, Scott, who was also known as The Legend and The Golden Boy, was named Mr. Olympia and nabbed the title the following year as well.
He retired from competing at the age of 28 in 1966.
Reacting to the sad news on Twitter.com, Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote, “Bodybuilding lost an icon today. We’ll all miss the Legend, Larry Scott, a great man who inspired millions. My thoughts are with his family.”
