Golden Globes winner Frances McDormand is set to make her debut as a screenwriter after signing on to adapt Michael Pollan’s book The Omnivore’s Dilemma.
The actress, who picked up a Best Actress gong for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri on Sunday night (07Jan18), is working with writer/director Sam Hoffman on the new project.
He tells WENN, “It’s the first time we’re writing together. She’s wonderful. I actually met Frances on the movie Moonrise Kingdom, which I produced, and we started working on the Omnivore’s project together.
“Ideally she’ll be starring in it as well, when the time comes, but right now she and I are working on the screenplay together.”
