Former 3Rd Rock From The Sun star French Stewart has become a first-time father after his wife gave birth to a little girl. The actor and his partner Vanessa Smith welcomed a daughter named Helene Claire in Los Angeles on 29 June (13).
The new parents only confirmed the news of her birth this week (beg05Aug13) as the baby was born six weeks prematurely.
Stewart tells People.com, “She was born six weeks early and could be held in the palm of your hand. We named her after my lovely mother. My sister is also a Helene. There are five wonderful Claires in Vanessa’s family so the tradition of it is very special for us.”
The actor, who is currently working on a new TV show called Mom, married Smith, his second wife, in 2011.
