fun. join United Nations campaign for LGBT equality

Pop stars fun. have become the latest celebrities to join the United Nations fight for equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The We Are Young hitmakers have been named Equality Champions for the U.N.’s Free & Equal initiative, which was launched last year (13) to raise awareness about homophobic and transphobic violence and discrimination, and encourage greater respect for the rights of LGBT people everywhere.
Singer Jack Antonoff says, “We, as musicians, stand with the LGBT community in any way we possibly can. Together, we have the ability to make the world a freer and more equal place.”
fun. join the likes of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and gay star Ricky Martin among the faces fronting the Free & Equal campaign.
Antonoff and his bandmates Nate Ruess and Andrew Dost previously teamed up to launch non-profit organisation The Ally Coalition in 2012 to educate the public about LGBT issues.
