Gabrielle Union’s Bad Boys TV spin-off has been picked up by network bosses at NBC.
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the untitled project centres on Special Agent Syd Burnett, the character Union played in 2003’s Bad Boys II, as she relocates from Miami to Los Angeles, according to Deadline.
Burnett was the sister of Martin Lawrence’s character in the Bad Boys sequel, who romanced Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey, played by Will Smith.
Her movie castmates are not expected to appear in the TV series.
