Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot will be honored with the #SeeHer Award at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards next month (Jan18).
The Israeli actress will be feted for “pushing boundaries and recognizing the importance of accurately portraying women across the entertainment landscape,” according to organizers.
Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins will present Gadot with the accolade on 11 January at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
“Gadot broke through this year as a powerful voice advocating for women, not only on screen as the iconic Wonder Woman, but in life as well, using her platform to encourage those in the entertainment industry and beyond to strive for fairness and parity across genders,” an awards spokesperson says.
She will be only the second star to receive the accolade – Viola Davis became the first honoree last year (16).
